Travel and Directions
The Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR) is located in the Wellcome Trust/MRC Building, opposite the multi-storey visitor car park on the Addenbrooke's Hospital Site of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
Addenbrooke's Hospital is approximately two miles south of Cambridge City Centre.
Regular bus services run between the City Centre, Bus Station, Railway Station and Addenbrookes Hospital.
Cambridge is about 60 miles/one hour by train north-east of London. There are frequent train services to Cambridge Station from London King's Cross or London Liverpool Street until late at night.
Stansted, Luton and Heathrow airports have direct coach services to Cambridge bus station. Regular bus services run between the bus station and Addenbrookes Hospital.
Leave the M11 at Junction 11 and follow the A1309 towards Cambridge. Continue through Trumpington High Street and turn right onto the A1134 (signposted Ring Road, Chesterton, Cherry Hinton) at the traffic signals.
Continue for 1 mile and then turn right onto the A1307 (signposted Haverhill) at the traffic signals.Turn right at the next roundabout to enter the Addenbrookes Hospital site.
Parking for staff and visitors on the site is limited and can generate long queues. If you need to park close to the CIMR, contact the CIMR reception in advance (there are a few CIMR spaces that can be reserved).
