Principal Investigators

Cambridge Institute for Medical Research

The Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR) is a multidisciplinary Clinical School research institute that provides an interface between basic and clinical science and aims to understand molecular mechanisms of human disease. The CIMR has about 250 scientists in 33 Research Groups, an annual grant spend of £17 million and is housed in a modern, 10 year old building.

The Institute is keen to identify new clinical or non-clinical principal investigators whom we would support in applications for career development or senior research fellowships. Research interests should dovetail with any of those that already exist within the Institute. We are particularly keen to strengthen our portfolio in the application of proteomics/mass spectrometry to biomedical science but welcome applications in other areas. No salaries are available directly from CIMR.

Further information about the Institute is available on our website or by contacting the Director, Professor Paul Luzio, e-mail jpl10@cam.ac.uk.

Expressions of interest and CV should be sent to the Director, Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR), Wellcome Trust/MRC Building, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 0XY.

Enquiries can be considered at any time.
