Cambridge Institute for Medical Research

The bioinformatics facility at CIMR provides biological data handling and analysis in a wide range of topics — differential expression analysis, next generation sequencing, networks, protein architecture, and motif searching among many others — for in-house researchers. These activities take the form of database design and tuning, software development, bespoke data analysis, data retrieval/handling and bioinformatics pipeline design and implementation. From general bioinformatics advice to long term research projects, the unit currently undertakes requests from a dozen different principal investigators within CIMR. The unit has access to the institute's high performance scientific computing cluster maintained by the IT Team.
